Training courses

MathSTIC PhD students are required to take a minimum of 100 hours of complementary training courses, with at least 40 hours comprising scientific or field-specific courses and at least 40 hours comprising cross-disciplinary and/or vocational courses. With the Thesis Director’s approval, this hour volume and the balance between cross-disciplinary and field-specific courses will be modified according to the specificities of both the thesis and the PhD student’s project. PhD students must also participate to a training in research ethics and scientific integrity.

PhD students will only be allowed to defend their thesis if they have respected their thus required training volume in hours and training on research ethics and scientific integrity.
